Just when it's starting to look up

This summer has been a crazy one for us, it has felt like one MAC bus after another, some good, some hard. This time it is another hard one. Tamzy, Wes' 17 year old sister, has been seeking to be nearer to God this summer, after going to Faith E's high school super summer camp, but her best friend was in a car accident last night. Amanda was on her way home for practice at school, when she went off the road and flipped her little Honda. She didn't have her seat belt on, and was thrown into the back seat.... praise the Lord she wasn't thrown from the vehicle itself, however she broke her back in 7 places, and has been in surgery since 3 am. There is a slim chance for things working the way they did before. These girls are VERY close, very much like sisters, so what the one feels, so does the other. Amanda has had a hard life as it is, and now this. They are entering into their senior year, the year when everything is supposed to finally go right. I guess that sums up my own expectations for this summer, it was supposed to be the summer where everything goes right, but so much has gone wrong. I'm trying to pray, but it is hard. Tamzy has had much hurt and loss in her life already, and now this, how does she handle this with out Jesus as her anchor? How can I really help her, and support her when the hurt is so deep? What happens now? Lord Jesus, you must be in this somewhere, reveal your power through these young girls. Father forgive me for my unbelief, and give me the strength to believe now. Help us support these young women as a family unified. Help Rodney and Carol have wisdom and deep insight into the hurting heart of their daughter, and Lord Jesus if it be your will, help Amanda's body to heal well and strong enough to walk again. Amen.
